So you want to downgrade your PSP to 3.03? This article may be of assistance to you.

There is no other way to downgrade any PSP older than 2.81 without it. People don't seem to appreciate this fact, and will spend hours upon hours searching the Internet for other ways to downgrade without the GTA. Let me save you time by telling you that there is no other way to downgrade any PSP above 2.81 without the unpatched GTA.
A flaw was discovered in the way the PSP version of GTA: Liberty City Stories processes saved games in late 2005. In December 2005, software was created to run unsigned code on PSPs running firmware versions 2.00 through 2.60. The exploit was patched in firmware 2.70, which was released in April 2006. However, as of January 25, 2007, it was discovered that Sony did not completely patch the exploit, and unsigned code could be run on 3.03 firmware; a 3.03 downgrader was released three days after the exploit was discovered. The exploit was also patched in new copies of GTA: Liberty City Stories, preventing it from being executed on other firmware versions. Since then, homebrew has progressed to the point where a copy of GTA: Liberty City is now available.Except for firmware versions 2.81 to 3.03, Stories is no longer required to run unsigned code. Sony has permanently disabled the GTA exploit with the release of the 3.10 firmware update and subsequent firmware updates.
So, how do I know if I have the correct GTA for a PSP 3.03 downgrade? It's really quite simple. Get a copy of GTA Liberty City Stories and place it in your UMD drive. Now, scroll to the game folder and look for a "UMD update" option. If it says "Update 2.00," you have an unpatched version; if it says "Update 2.60," you have a patched version that is not suitable for a 3.03 PSP downgrade.
All you have to do now is find the 3.03 downgrader; there are a couple of versions available on the Internet that are relatively simple to use. Just make sure you get the software from a reputable source, as there are some scumbags out there who have posted fake downgraders on the Internet in the hopes that unsuspecting people will download them and brick their PSPs.
Also, make certain that you follow the steps exactly as they are described; this is critical. You could effectively brick your PSP if you do something out of place or put a file in the wrong place, so it is critical that you follow instructions when performing a 3.03 PSP downgrade.
I hope this article assists you in successfully performing a 3.03 PSP downgrade.
